Is it over yet?

**Warning: random rant post with nothing to do with theatre!**

I truly hate politics. I hated them before, and will probably continue to hate them in the future.

Can I just say I cannot wait until the election is over!! Yes, I do understand the election is important. Yes, I am going to vote. Yes, I do have someone I'm voting for. But seriously?!

Allllll over my facebook feed, all over the neighborhood, all over the radio, tv, internet. everywhere you look is nothing but election stuff!

I have half of my friends raging against Obama, stating he is a horrible person, a liar, and has been a terrible president, etc. etc. etc. and the other half raging against Romney, I'm just done with it.

I'm sorry but most people believe everything they read, never fact check anything, blindly accept that this person/ or that person is the greatest ever, and the other candidate is the antichrist.

However, after the election, I will continue to hear moaning and groaning. If Obama wins, I will hear over the next 4 years how the country is going to hell and this and that and the other. If Romney wins, I dont even know.

What I really want to say is that no amount of trashing the other candidate and shoving your candidate's spoon down somebody's throat is going to do you any good...

Anyway, thank you for sticking with me through my rant!
How do you feel about the election?

(Ps: This post is just my opinion, please do not make any ugly/hateful remarks. Any written will be removed. =) Thanks!)

    Nah, I'm kidding.
    I agree with you.
    Mostly.
I am SO TIRED of turning on the TV and seeing all these annoying ads.
"My opponent is going to kill your job and eat your cat. I'm so and so, and I approve this message."
UGH. I wish they would shut up. They don't even do what they say they're going to do anyways. And I hate people who bully each other, so even if the person I want to win does slander, it angers me.
The only thing I slightly disagree with you with is on the websites. I don't like people who post their opinions and say that they're totally pro-Romney or pro-Obama. However I AM slightly interested in things that are unbiased. For example, even though I'm not old enough to vote yet I still like watching the debates. And on Google+ I am always interested to see what the news stations have to say.
But I am tired of it too.
    :)

  2. lol I understand what you are saying. =)

I do read what they say and also check out the websites and fact check things, but I was mainly referring to just the slandering of both parties. I want to hear what the candidate intends to do about certain issues, not hear them solely refute the other party's claims. =)
